Lakeland, pull up a chair.

One Table. One Community.

One long table in the heart of our city. Neighbors, newcomers, and old friends sharing one meal in the November sunshine. Every seat is yours.

Save me a seat

Free to attend. If you can, bring a personal-care item for VISTE's care boxes.

The Table Is Coming

Show up for each other.

This is the whole idea. We set one very long table, you bring yourself, and Lakeland does what Lakeland does best. Somebody saves you a seat, somebody passes you a plate, and a stranger becomes a neighbor before dessert.

More Than Just A Meal

Celebrate what unites us.

Set in the heart of Downtown Lakeland, this unique event brings together neighbors, families, local businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders around one incredibly long table to share a meal and celebrate what unites us. Inspired by the simple idea that meaningful conversations can strengthen communities, The Longest Table creates a welcoming space where everyone belongs and every story matters.

More than just a meal, this is your chance to:

Whether you've called Lakeland home for years or are new to our community, we invite you to take a seat and be part of something truly special.

Everyone has a seat at the table.

Bring One Thing

Bring one thing for VISTE.

VISTE delivers 800 Personal Care Boxes a year to homebound seniors across Lakeland. Drop one item at their tent when you arrive and you've helped fill a box.

Arts & Health Week · November 8–14

The table closes a week of art and well-being.

The Longest Table lands on the final day of Arts & Health Week, a county-wide celebration of how creativity supports physical, emotional, and social health, centered right here in Lakeland. The Watson Clinic Foundation's Arts in Medicine Program and the Polk Arts and Health Collaborative highlight free and low-cost events all week long. Arts & Health Week is made possible by presenting sponsor Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital.

On event day, our scavenger hunt takes you past downtown Lakeland's murals, so bring your curiosity along with your appetite.

Avelo Airlines
Scavenger Hunt Grand Prize Partner

Avelo Airlines is giving two round-trip tickets, including bags, seat selection, and priority boarding, to one family who completes the downtown murals scavenger hunt. The winner is drawn at random.

Mural Scavenger Hunt

Play the scavenger hunt on your phone.

Explore downtown during the event, find the murals, visit participating businesses, and pick up special offers along the way. The Longest Table Lakeland app has the interactive map, the hunt, and every stop.

The scavenger hunt runs 11 AM to 2 PM on November 14.

Help Set The Table

Volunteer on event day.

It takes a small army to set 81 tables and welcome a whole city. Check-in, setup, greeters, table decorating, event support, breakdown: pick a shift that fits you, and Ashley Ray's volunteer team will take it from there.

Sign up to volunteer

Volunteers check in at COhatch Lakeland, 211 E Main Street, the morning of the event. Volunteer parking: South Tennessee Parking Lot, 214 S Tennessee Ave, with a free Citrus Squeeze ride in. Details.
